THE Lancer starts with a reasonably spacious boot, but luggage space is hindered by boot hinges that pivot within the load area. The lack of a split-folding rear seat or through-load system further restricts luggage versatility, while the heavy rear wing makes opening the bootlid cumbersome. Up front there is agood-sized glovebox plus useful centre console and front door compartments, though there are no cupholders.
