THE Makinen Lancer's interior owes much of its race-replica appearance to its bright red Recaro sports seats. Offering a huge amount of lateral support at the expense of some entry/exit convenience, at first glance they appear the full one-piece racing item. Closer inspection reveals they're actually two-piece and offer seat-back recline and fore-aft slide adjustment, while useful seat cushion extensions provide welcome thigh support.
