THE second batch of 100 Lancer Evolution VIIIs to be imported by Mitsubishi under the Specialist and Enthusiast Vehicle Scheme has just arrived in Australia.

The second batch of Evo VIIIs has the same specifications, colours and pricing as the first lot that sold out rapidly. Mitsubishi's Ralliart dealer network already holds orders for most cars.

Lancer Evolution VIII is powered by a 4G63 2.0-litre DOHC intercooled and turbocharged four-cylinder. It has 195kW at 6000rpm and 355Nm of torque at 3500rpm and drives through a full-time all-wheel drive system that features Mitsubishi's Active Yaw Control and electronically controlled Active Centre Differential.

Evo's colour palette remains the same with white, silver, blue, red, yellow and black and the car comes with a Data Dot security identification system and fabric covered Recaro seats as standard. Pricing is unchanged at $61,990, with leather trim costing an additional $3000.
