Third-generation Series II Convertible

BY THE GOAUTO TEAM | 20th Jul 2018

The drop-top Mini light car was only on sale for two years before the facelifted version hit Australian showrooms in July 2018.

Automatic versions gained a new seven-speed dual-clutch unit as a no-cost option, while exterior updated included new headlights, brand badging, exterior colours and wheels.

Inside, a new 6.5-inch infotainment touchscreen is added that bundles wireless phone charging and Apple CarPlay, as well as satellite navigation with real-time traffic updates and Mini’s Connected services.

Three grades were available at launch, including the Cooper, Cooper S and top-spec John Cooper Works (JCW).
