Vito wagon opens its doors for passengers

MERCEDES-BENZ has added to its stable a passenger wagon based on the light-commercial Vito van and cab-chassis.

Able to transport either eight or nine people, the rear-drive Vito wagon is available with either a 110kW/220Nm 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine or a 140kW/270Nm 3.2-litre V6. Standard transmission is a five-speed automatic.

Standard features include rear stability control, dual airbags, ABS brakes, dual sliding doors, a CD stereo, front and rear air-conditioning, remote locking and front and rear fog-lights.

Options include a ninth seat, sunroof, roof rails, 16-inch alloy wheels and cruise control.

Prices start from $54,990 for the diesel and $58,500 for the petrol variant.
