MERCEDES-BENZ has thrown more equipment on to its Viano commercial vehicle-based people-mover, including parking sensors, automatic headlights, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, front side airbags and a better stereo.

These features are available across the range, which starts from $63,300 for the Trend 2.2 CDI diesel model and tops out at $74,990 for the Ambiente 3.5-litre V6 petrol.

In addition, Ambiente models receive 17-inch wheels, self-levelling rear air suspension, window airbags (for the driver and front passenger), leather upholstery, a six-CD changer, leather-clad steering wheel/shift lever, burr walnut interior trim, rear seatback pockets and courtesy lights in the doors.
