BY MARTON PETTENDY | 29th Apr 2005

MERCEDES-BENZ has introduced a "Special Edition" version of its M-class 4WD wagon, which is on its last legs before an all-new model arrives in the final quarter.

Applicable to 2005 model year wagons, and adding no extra cost onto the retail price, the Special Edition includes two ‘power domes’ on its bonnet, aluminium roof rails, 17-inch wheels with 275/55 tyres, tinted tail-lights, chrome exterior door-handles and an exclusive colour – Cubanite Silver.

The cabin has soft leather/Alcantara trim, electrically adjustable (and heated) sports seats, wood veneer detailing, chrome-accentuated instruments and a sliding cover on the centre console.

Prices start from $81,700 for the ML270 CDI and ML350, and from $104,500 for the ML500.
