LIKE all premium brands, Mercedes-Benz says one of its prime directives is to offer Australian customers abundant choice.

After filling an obvious gap in its repertoire with the GLC mid-sized SUV it has now doubled its offering in the segment with a Coupe version that offers mirrored specification but in a more sporty style-focused package.

Customers are asked about a $12,000 premium over the wagon equivalent and $2200 more than the equivalent BMW X4 so will customers welcome Mercedes’ coupe curio, or stick to the strong-selling and more conventional GLC wagon?
