MERCEDES-BENZ may be up to the fifth generation of its E-Class mid-to-large sedan and wagon range, but the two-door coupe and convertible have only been around for one generation.

Enter the all-new E-Class Coupe, which changes things up considerably compared to the model it replaces.

The old model was based on the previous C-Class platform and therefore shared a lot with the more affordable C-Class Coupe.

The new coupe underpinnings are shared with the recently launched E-Class sedan and it is now larger in practically all dimensions.

No longer a stretched C-Class Coupe, and not quite as yacht-like as the S-Class Coupe, the new cruisey E-Class is quite literally in a class of its own.
