The Coupe and Convertible tested here are the final variants in the Mercedes E-Class line-up to benefit from the major model upgrade that started with the sedan and wagon in June.

Aside from the bolder new look, Benz has chopped the starting price, switched up the engines and added extra technology to make the popular range a sharper value proposition.

It was always a comfortable boulevard cruiser, but with a series of worthy changes, the Stuttgart marque has ensured its E stays fresh against the Audi A5 and forthcoming BMW 4 Series for a while yet.
