THE CLK uses double wishbones with anti-dive control, coil springs, gas-pressure shock absorbers and a stabilizer bar at the front, while the rear suspension features a multi-link set-up with anti-squat and anti-dive control, coil springs and gas shock absorbers. The C-class, on which it is based, has since gained a new three-link axle with MacPherson struts at the front (replacing a double wishbone set-up).
