DISC brakes are used front and rear on the CLK, ventilated at the front and solid at the rear. Newly developed "sliding-calliper" front brake callipers are made from high-strength nodular cast iron, while the rear uses fixed-calliper brakes with a twin-piston system. Anti-lock brakes, Brake Assist and Electronic Stability Program are also provided.
