THE CLK's seats are an all-new design, and along with the steering wheel and gear shift lever are covered in soft leather. The front seats are electrically adjustable with three memory settings. The front seats are lower than in a saloon. The steel suspension shell of the CLK sports seat is fitted with a leaf-spring of high-strength composite fibre material, which operates in the rear section of the seat and absorbs road bumps. The damping characteristics of the leaf-spring are precisely tuned to the multi-layered polyurethane foam seat cushion, which lies in the suspension shell. The rear seats are separated by a storage tray in the centre and a retractable arm-rest, behind which a ski-sack can be stored as a special accessory.
