MERCEDES-BENZ offers its COMAND system - introduced in 1998 for the S-class - as optional equipment on the Sports Coupe. Essentially a control centre for the radio, CD, CD stacker, TV receiver, phone and satellite navigation systems (if fitted), COMAND includes an in-dash monitor and also works in conjunction with the optional Linguatronic voice control system. The satellite navigation system is CD-rom based.
