WITH the next-generation C-class Mercedes-Benz just around the corner, Mercedes-Benz Australia has thrown some more kit at its outgoing C180K sedan.

It has added more than $7700 in gear to the C180K super sport edition of the most successful C-class in the Mercedes-Benz passenger car range.

The super sport edition adds comfort and sports-oriented features for $58,990 on top of the sports package.

For no extra cost, the super sport edition adds the following equipment on top of the popular C-class Sports Package: six-spoke 17-inch light-alloys, five-speed automatic transmission with Touchshift, AMG body styling consisting of front spoiler, rear spoiler and side skirts, glass electric sunroof, Bi-Xenon headlights with cleaning system, radiator grille in silver with chrome trim (from Elegance model-line), aluminium-finish interior trim highlights, metallic paint, silver instrument dials with white instrument lighting, "sport edition" badges and black floor mats with "sport edition" badges.

The following equipment, previously fitted as standard with sports package, is inclusive in the super sport edition: black Artico upholstery, larger perforated front discs and silver brake calipers with black "Mercedes-Benz" lettering, polished stainless steel oval exhaust, leather trimmed gear shift lever with aluminium finish shift knob, leather multi-function steering wheel, brushed stainless steel sports pedals with rubber studs, front sports seats and lowered sports suspension.

The C-class has been on sale here for almost six years.
