THE C180 delivers reasonably good boot space, with a flat load space and 455 litres on offer. Unlike the 3 Series BMW, the bootlid hinges from within the boot aperture, though the strut mechanism is hidden within the boot lining and the lid itself fully opens to an almost vertical position. There is no ski-port or through-loading system, and a split-fold rear seatback is an optional extra. The boot opens via either the remote key, an interior release button or the by releasing the boot manually. Two cupholders spring from the rear centre armrest, with just one residing up front. The glovebox is tiny, but there are large front door pockets and a number of smaller storage bins in the centre console and dash.
