DUAL front airbags, "depowered" to help minimise the risk of passenger injury from the bags themselves, are standard in all Tributes, while the top of the line Luxury version also gets seat-mounted front side airbags. The Tribute's rigid monocoque construction helps provide car-like structural safety performance and incorporates Mazda's "Triple-H" body reinforcements in the roof, sides and floor to further enhance rigidity. A black mark is the provision of a lap-only belt for the centre rear seat passenger.
