Minor changes have been made to the dominant "mouth", which now incorporates Mazda's "five-point" front styling element. The MX-5 also gets slimmer headlamps with multi reflector high beam and projector low beam lamps, while the "mouth" is flanked by fog lamps incorporated into the air dam. The tail lamp/reflector/turn lamp clusters have also been redesigned for a transparent look. New pattern 16-inch lightweight alloy road wheels with flat flanges are used.
