MAZDA chose a European-style low-gloss material for the 626's vinyl surfaces. A touch of wood grain on the centre console aims at giving a luxury touch. The interior is finished in two 'warmer' grey tones which are enhanced by chrome finished door handles. Improved body and dash insulation reduces noise levels.

Illuminated entry system incorporates delayed fade. The instruments feature new meter graphics.
