THE 626's suspension basic suspension design has remained constant for years and the current model is a revised and refined version of the MacPherson strut front, trapezoidal lateral link system used both in previous 626s and the current 323. Mazda reversed its development program for the current 626 by designing it first in fully laden trim, then refining it for low-load operation.
