DISC brakes are used at each corner of the car, with power assistance and an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution also part of the standard package. The front ventilated discs are 258mm in diameter x 24mm width the solid rear discs measure 261mm x 10mm. As per all 323 models, rigid front callipers and high-friction-coefficient brake pads are used to provide greater resistance to fade under high speed or high load conditions.
