Market Insight: Lexus sees stronger growth in 2018

BY DANIEL DEGASPERI | 16th Jun 2017

- Lexus Australia chief executive Peter McGregor has cautiously predicted another record sales year for the brand in 2017 despite volume being down 2.3 per cent to the end of May – and 2018 is expected to bring further growth as new models arrive.

- The Japanese premium brand sold a record 9028 vehicles in Australia last year, up 3.9 per cent on 2015 (8691) which was in turn well ahead (+24.2 per cent) of the 7000 units it recorded in 2014, boosted by the first full year of sale of the popular NX SUV launched in October 2014.
