TOYOTA luxury brand Lexus’ LX570 has been upgraded with minor visual titivations as well as a specification and technology boost.

Headlining the changes is an improved satellite-navigation interface, promising an easier-to-use functionality. An integrated USB input, 12-volt socket, headlight washers and better privacy glass are also part of the MY10 alterations.

Lexus has also dropped the LX570 Prestige for a new Sports variant, which scores a centre console cool-box, rear seat entertainment system and roof rails.

The Sports Luxury model receives new 10-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels and a bodykit, bestowing a lowered, more dynamic visage, according to the company.

"The upgrades to LX570 will add further appeal to those wanting to take their Lexus off-road, with Sports models becoming the premium Lexus off-roader,” said newly appointed chief executive, Tony Cramb.

"For those who want the space and safety offered from LX570, Sports Luxury models will feature greater visual muscle, and the safety of side, front and reversing cameras – vital in negotiating the suburban jungle."There are no price rises despite the added kit. The LX570 comes in at $149,500 while the Sport Luxury kicks off from $165,400.
