Price up, no diesel for LX570

LEXUS’ new LX570 SUV will arrive in April with two models and an opening price of around $135,000 - significantly up from the current LX470's $122,974 pricetag. The range-topping Luxury model will be $151,900.

Lexus management also revealed last week that the new LX series will not become available in diesel, with the focus now being on petrol-electric hybrid powertrains.

While the donor Toyota LandCruiser 200 has a turbo-diesel V8, Lexus believes its customers will not want diesel power.
