THE IS300 boot has a capacity of 300 litres, however boot hinges intrude on the available space when closed and can make packing a more difficult task than need be. Struts would be a much better solution. There is little storage to speak of, with elastic straps at the right-hand trim the one aid to securing loose items. The boot is fully lined and equipped with luggage tie-down hooks, a warning triangle, full-size alloy spare, tools and a valet pack with gloves, towel, handwash and a mat. Entry to the boot can be made via an internal release, the remote keypad or the keyhole in the bootlid. There is no rear door handle.
