INTERIOR improvements to the IS series include a new soft-feel upper portion for the instrument panel, which continues to command attention with the central Swiss watch design housing the speedo (to 260km/h) and gauges for instantaneous fuel economy, engine coolant temperature and voltage. Flanking the "watch" is the tacho (redline arrives at 6500rpm), fuel gauge and an LCD display for the odometer, twin trip meter, automatic transmission lever position and the gear selected when in E-shift mode. Warning lamps are provided for the park brake, traction control activation and snow mode. A digital clock is mounted on the centre console.
