Customers demand reversing camera

LEXUS claims customer demand has prompted it to make a reverse-parking camera available across its IS250 range after only three months on sale in Australia.

Previously restricted to Sports and Sports Luxury model variants, it will now be available on the entry IS250 Prestige version as part of a $7732 "enhancement package".

Bumping-up the recommended retail price to $61,622, this package also contains satellite navigation, a Bluetooth telephone connection, an upgraded climate-control air-conditioning system and a 14-speaker Mark Levinson stereo.

The SC430 and RX350 Sports are now the only two Lexus models not offering the camera either as standard equipment or as an option.
