FAILING to notice the latest-model Discovery is entirely excusable. But while the car looks the same as the 1991 original, there's no panel interchangeability, apart from the tailgate. The windscreen is taller and raked back more, new doors are of steel rather than aluminium and the rear end has been extended to provide a better deal for passengers and luggage. There's a new grille and front bumper, new high-mounted taillights and flush-glazed rear side windows.
