THE Discovery combines the braking power of four-wheel discs (ventilated at the front, solid at the rear) with electronic brake force distribution and a hill descent control system (HDC) that maintains between 7km/h and 14km/h on steep, low-range descents without intervention from the driver. The parking brake operates on the transfer box to lock all four wheels. The Wabco four-channel anti-lock system has been specially calibrated for off-road use.
