APART from the new name, there are several modifications to Kia's five-door hatch inside and out. A nose-job is the main alteration to the appearance, while the interior picks up bigger storage areas, a metallic-look centre console, new instrument cluster, folding front armrest, darker cloth upholstery and conveniences such as a twin cup holder with grip pads and a sunglasses holder. On the mechanical front, a minor suspension upgrade and revised automatic gearbox headline the changes. Larger brake pads are aimed at reducing stopping distances and front seatbelts now have pretensioners that reel in seatbelt slack in the event of a collision.
