THE smallest of the Kia range is the new Picanto, which in its current guise is – apart from a refresh last year – more than five years old.

It is up against some solid competition from Holden and Mitsubishi among others, with most of its opposition a little fresher in terms of time in the market.

Age has wearied the Kia a little, in terms of connectivity and safety features, but its road manners and interior packaging go some way to offsetting its late arrival here and its veteran status in the marketplace.
