THE Grand Cherokee's suspension uses live axles front and rear, with coils as the springing medium. Very much a "serious" 4WD system, it was redesigned for the current model with a lighter, three-link system at the rear gaining a higher roll centre for reduced cornering lean. The front suspension was redesigned with wider-spaced tie rods for more accurate turn-in and improved on-centre feel.
