THE Cherokee is a five-seater only, with bucket seats up front and a 65-35 split-folding bench seat in the second row. All passengers get a lap-sash seatbelt and headrest, and all outboard passengers get a grabrail, mounted both in the front on the A-pillar and in the rear in the roof lining. Four airbags are standard - frontal multi-stage bags for the driver and passenger, and headlining-mounted side curtains which protect the heads of all outboard passengers. Stowage is taken care of by front-door pockets, a lidded centre bin between the front seats, plus two front and two rear cupholders.
