JAGUAR cars have a habit of pleasing and disappointing, and the range-topping X-Type is no exception. The SE 3.0 oozes elegance and charm inside and out, and offers a soothing level of performance and ride comfort. The all-wheel drive handling traits are good, too. But chinks in the armour are never far from the surface - and, try as Jaguar might, some of these will not be solved with a tick of the options box.
