THERE is a lot riding on Jaguar’s new F-Pace. It is the iconic brand’s first SUV, it is charged with increasing their sales globally and it is tasked with improving the company’s ‘old man’ brand image.

Should be a cinch, right?

Jag reckons it has the right package to attract a whole new breed of buyer. In fact, it is hoping that 90 per cent of buyers in Australia will come from other brands.

It’s a big ask, and there are more than a few rusted-on German car fans that may take a bit of convincing to jump into a Jag.

The F-Pace has the looks, the pricing and the packaging to be a real winner. But can it knock the Germans off their perch?
