INFINITI is currently playing a complementary product game, with the Q30/QX30 aimed at boosting volume and this Q60 targeted at raising brand awareness as a stylised niche coupe acting as a beacon of curiosity for showroom browsers.

According to the brand, being distinctive distinguishes the Q60 from its BMW 4 Series, Lexus RC and Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe rivals. And the new Audi A5 yet to arrive.

The Q60 does not look like a two-door sedan, despite being based on the Q50 four door. Although design is the entree for shoppers who want to be seen to be different, the company has said that convincing technology, performance and value are also priorities.

With such targets in mind, we put this sports coupe to the test.
