SONATA has dual diagonal, split circuit, power assisted four wheel disc brakes, ventilated at the front and featuring a pressure proportioning valve and a pad wear warning device. The booster size has been increased from the single 10-inch booster to a seven-inch plus eight-inch tandem booster. Anti-lock brakes, previously found on the Levant model, are no longer an option for buyers.
