SONATA now uses a multi-link independent rear suspension with double wishbones up front. Damping is provided at both ends by coil springs and an anti-roll bar. The front shock absorbers have a low velocity control valve to prevent a choppy ride at high speeds. The shocks are gas-filled. Wheel geometry is designed to improve ride and handling characteristics with an increased caster angle and reduced camber.
