LAVITA uses a power-assisted rack and pinion steering system. The minimum turning circle is 10.4m, while the number of turns lock to lock measures 3.19. The steering column is tilt-adjustable and designed to absorb energy and collapse in the event of a severe frontal collision. A driver's airbag is also fitted standard.
