HYUNDAI took the Excel's all-independent suspension and reworked it for the Accent with changes to the rear roll centre and the adoption of ball joints rather than bushes to locate the front and rear anti-roll bars. Reduced offsets at the front and relocation of the A-arm front bushes have meant smoother brake performance. The dampers were also re-rated to improve performance with small high-speed deflections.
