THE Maloo uses a unique version of HSV's "Touring" suspension. Where the sedan models are now fitted with the Control-Link rear suspension (which incorporates an additional link to control rear wheel toe changes during suspension compression and rebound), the Maloo ute models make do with the pre-VX II independent rear end, which is essentially minus the extra suspension link. For the technophiles out there, the Touring suspension set-up is now referred to as "Touring 2" on the sedan models that use Control Link and simply "Touring" on the Maloo. The anti-roll bar dimensions are the same across both versions, with the ball joint-mounted front anti-roll bar measuring 28mm in diameter, while the rear anti-roll bar is 15mm in diameter.
