Victoria dominates new Honda dealer awards

HONDA Australia has recognised 14 dealerships – six of them from Victoria – in a new annual ‘Dealer Excellence Awards’ program that replaces its long-running state-based Dealer of the Year awards established more than decade ago.

Honda Australia managing director and CEO Satoshi Matsuzawa and sales and marketing general manager Stephen Collins presented the awards – which are based on all-round excellence in dealer “professionalism and performance” across sales, service and parts – at a ceremony at Melbourne’s Intercontinental Hotel recently.

In addition to the six winners from Victoria, there were two from Western Australia and one each from Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales and the ACT.

The winners were: Astoria Honda (Vic), John Blair Honda (Vic), Yarra Honda (Vic), Ringwood Honda (Vic), Peninsula Honda (Vic), New World Honda (Vic), AutoSynergy (Vic), Burswood Honda (WA), Prestige Honda (WA), Torque Honda (Qld), Dave Potter Honda (SA), Greg Crick Honda (Tas), Ireland Honda (NSW) and Rolfe Honda (ACT).

Under the new program, dealerships are placed into one of four groups based on sales targets. Each dealer has the opportunity to win an award if they meet the criteria and finish in the top five of their respective group.

“The Honda dealerships who received Excellence awards have shown dedication and loyalty to their customers and to the Honda brand,” Mr Matsuzawa said.

“I am proud of their hard work and commitment to providing outstanding customer satisfaction in both sales and service.”
