HONDA will unveil a lightly disguised version of its second-generation MDX at the New York International Auto Show on April 12, ahead of its production debut in September.

Shown here as an artist’s rendering, the company claims the MDX II will have "a striking new image, new technology and performance unmatched in the segment".

The MDX Concept news coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Honda premium brand on Monday.

The New York show is also expected to reveal the new Suzuki XL-7, the latest from Scion, the Lexus LS600h hybrid, the facelifted Mercedes E-class and a four-door Jeep Wrangler 4WD.

The MDX is sold as a high-level Acura model in the US.
