AUTOMATIC climate control air-conditioning is a $2000 option on the Type R, yet standard equipment on the base Integra. The Type R in standard form offers heating only. The automatic climate control system (pictured) is operated by three large dials on the dash and is claimed to deliver best-in-class cool-down performance while also reducing power consumption by nine per cent compared to the previous model. Atmospheric sensors provide accurate, fully automatic operation. Heat-rejecting window glass improves the efficiency of the system.
