THE Type-R uses independent double wishbones with coil springs and an anti-roll bar at both ends, while a helical limited slip differential further improves front-wheel grip and reduces understeer during high-speed cornering. Spring and damping rates have been greatly increased to improve handling. The diameter of the stabiliser bar has increased from 13mm to 22mm to reduce bodyroll. To enhance rear hub stability, the bearing span within the rear wheel has also been increased by 10mm.
