HONDA calls this an all-new Integra, and for once the term seems to be more than a misused PR hack's flight of fancy. The styling has obviously been revamped with those notched head and talights a striking feature, vehicle length is up by 5mm although wheelbase stays the same, width is increased by 15mm and height is up a substantial 65mm, which helps explain the tall and narrow looks. Other significant dimension changes include a 40mm higher hip point for easier exit and entry, and a much-needed 25mm increase in legroom. On the mechanical side there is an all-new 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine employing Honda's i-VTEC and LEV technology, substantial suspension changes and body rigidity and stiffness has been dramatically improved. There's also been an improvement to safety equipment with a passenger airbag now standard.
