WINDOW switchgear, which has a driver's side auto down function, is positioned on the right-hand side of the steering column rather than the more common position on the door. The steering column is tilt-adjustable and holds the automatic transmission lever, when specified. The overdrive button on the column shifter helps matters but the auto remains awkward to use manually while driving. The pad for adjusting the heat-absorbing external electric mirrors is mounted parallel with the instrument binnacle.
