THE 1999 model year brought a number of changes to CR-V, including the addition of a new model, CR-V Sport. Power from the 2.0-litre engine increased 15 per cent, from 94 to 108kW. The body structure has been revised for improved crash performance. Automatic transmission models receive an overdrive button on the column-mounted gear lever. External enhancements include new front and rear bumpers, wheel-arch protectors and a roof-mounted micro radio antenna.
