HOLDEN has treated its big Colorado 7 off-roader to a major mid-life upgrade. So major in fact that the car-maker has even changed its name to the global Trailblazer moniker in a bid to differentiate it from the Colorado pick-up from which it is spawned.

Like the Colorado workhorse, the Trailblazer has benefited from significant input from Holden engineers – in conjunction with their GM Brazil counterparts – to ensure it is better suited to Australian conditions than before.

It also gets a visual make-over and a whole bunch of new features, but is it enough to keep the growing number of rivals in the rugged SUV segment at bay?
