THE Statesman's braking system is common with the VT Commodore. Holden claims increased brake rotor size results in pedal travel reduction and improved pedal feel under heavy braking. The anti-lock brakes use Bosch's 5.3 four-channel system, as per VT, while the traction control system uses ABS and engine torque reduction to minimise wheel spin on low-friction surfaces. The traction control can be switched off if required.
